South Korea's President Lee Jae-myung takes office

SEOUL (WAM)

The Liberal Democratic Party presidential candidate Lee Jae-myung was elected President of the Republic of Korea on Wednesday, as reported by the Yonhap News Agency.

Lee won the election with 49.42 percent of the vote, defeating his conservative People Power Party rival Kim Moon-soo, who received 41.15 percent.
