The UAE continues its humanitarian efforts to support the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, alleviating the deteriorating humanitarian conditions affecting the population.

Within the framework of the “Gallant Knight 3” humanitarian operation, established under the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the dispatched aid aims to address the needs of the most vulnerable groups and ensure their access to the necessary items, underscoring the nation’s commitment to assisting the Palestinian people.

As part of its humanitarian outreach, the Emirates Red Crescent Authority (ERC) has been actively managing numerous charitable kitchens within the Gaza Strip under the “Gallant Knight 3” humanitarian operation, reaching approximately 1.3 million Palestinians.

The initiative also includes bakeries run by the UAE, benefitting over 276,000 Palestinians, alongside approximately 500,000 recipients of parcels from various Emirati humanitarian and charitable organisations within Gaza.

In terms of healthcare, the UAE’s field hospital in Rafah has facilitated medical services for over 5,400 individuals.
Additionally, between February 11 and 18, the ERC extended its support to three governorates in the Gaza Strip, namely Rafah, which is divided into several areas, including East Rafah with all its areas - Al Shoka, Al Nasr, and Zlata, Rafah Crossing area and Al Salam neighbourhood, in addition to Brazil, Jeneen, Administrative District, Shaboura, Khirbat Al Adas, and Mirage in central Rafah, as well as Tul Al-Sultan, Saudi Camp, Baderi Camp, and Muwasi Rafah in western Rafah. Aid was also distributed in areas such as Al Bureij, Al Maghazi, Al Nusairat, Al Zawayda, and Deir Al Balah in the Central Governorate.

The ERC’s assistance encompassed the distribution of parcels filled with food and medical supplies, winter clothing, and the installation of lighting fixtures in displacement centres. A significant part of the assistance was the bakery project, aimed at alleviating the critical bread shortage in the Gaza Strip.

The “Gallant Knight 3” humanitarian operation was launched on November 5, 2023 to assist the Palestinian people in Gaza. This initiative symbolises the UAE’s enduring commitment to solidarity and cooperation with the Palestinian people, drawing from a long-standing tradition of providing humanitarian aid and supporting them through challenging times.
