For fans of Egyptian pop music, join Ehab Tawfik, Hamid El Shaeri and Hisham Abbas at Space42 Arena on April 11 for a special “90s” concert.

Tawfik, one of the era’s defining pop voices, built a career that reflects the emotional depth and melodic richness of the Al-Jeel movement.

Known for songs such as “Sahrany”, “Allah Aleik Ya Seidy” and “Tetraga Feya”, the Egyptian superstar’s music became a soundtrack for a generation, blending heartfelt lyrics with melodies that continue to resonate across decades.

El Shaeri, the Godfather of Al Jeel, widely known as El Capo, is recognised for shaping the modern sound of Arabic pop through westernised synthesiser textures and rock-influenced arrangements.

Renowned for memorable hits including “Lolaki”, “Jaljili”, “Ouda”, “Ayounha” and “Einy,” the Egyptian-Libyan singer’s compositions and productions helped define the musical identity of the 1990s and left a lasting imprint on the region’s pop culture.

Abbas, a leading voice of 90s mainstream Egyptian pop, earned widespread popularity through melodic, catchy songs that became part of everyday listening. Known for tracks such as “Habibi Dah”, “Einy”, and “Fenoh”, his catalogue captured the warmth, rhythm and spirit of the decade with enduring appeal.

Al Jeel is a popular Egyptian music genre that emerged in the 1970s and peaked in the 80s-90s, blending traditional Arabic melodies with Western disco, synth-pop and reggae.

This concert promises a nostalgic evening celebrating one of the most influential periods in Arabic music, bringing together three artists whose voices, sounds and legacies shaped the 90s and continue to connect audiences through shared memories and timeless melodies.
