American pop star Jason Derulo will headline the official after-race entertainment at the 30th edition of the Dubai World Cup, to be staged at Meydan Racecourse on Saturday, March 28.

Now in its fourth decade, the Dubai World Cup has grown into one of the most prestigious fixtures on the international horse racing calendar since its inauguration in 1996 and constant support by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

With multi-million-dollar prize purses and elite thoroughbreds from across the globe, the meeting is widely regarded as the world’s richest race day.

Staged at Meydan since 2010, having previously been held at Nad Al Sheba, the Dubai World Cup has consistently combined top-class racing with high-profile entertainment.

Over the years, international artists including Jennifer Lopez, Kylie Minogue and Christina Aguilera have headlined the post-race concerts, cementing the event’s reputation for pairing sport with global music acts.

Derulo, one of the most recognisable names in contemporary pop and R&B, has sold more than 250 million singles worldwide and earned 14 platinum certifications in the United States.

Known for high-energy performances and chart-topping hits such as "Whatcha Say", "In My Head", "Ridin’ Solo" and the UK No.1 "Don’t Wanna Go Home", he will close the evening’s celebrations after the final race.

The concert follows the release of his latest album, “The Last Dance” (Part 1), with the second instalment scheduled for later this year. The record features a reimagined version of Avril Lavigne’s "Complicated", marking what Derulo has described as the final expression of the artist the world has come to know before embarking on a new creative chapter.

The Dubai appearance will also form a part of his The Last Dance World Tour, which began on January 29 and includes more than 25 arena dates across the UK and Europe.

Organisers say world-class entertainment remains a central pillar of the Dubai World Cup experience. Last year’s closing ceremony set multiple records, underlining the scale and spectacle that have become synonymous with the occasion.

With its blend of elite equine competition, fashion, hospitality and live performance, the meeting attracts tens of thousands of spectators annually, alongside a global television audience.

Tickets for the Dubai World Cup are available through the Dubai Racing Club, with concert access included for all hospitality guests.
