TAARIQ HALIM (ABU DHABI)
Four Emirati and Kuwaiti singing stars - Ahlam, Nabil Shuail, Eida Al Menhali, and Abdel Aziz Alduwaihi - will share the stage at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) ICC Hall for a sensational night of music and culture on January 29.
Titled “Layali Al-Kuwait Al-Khalida fi Abu Dhabi” (Kuwait’s Timeless Nights in Abu Dhabi), this special concert is presented in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi and the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, and celebrates Gulf culture, brotherhood and timeless music.
Each artist brings a distinct musical identity and emotional depth, creating a rich collective experience rooted in Gulf heritage, artistic legacy, and shared pride.
Together, their performances form a powerful tribute to tradition, unity, and the enduring spirit of Gulf music.
Ahlam
Ahlam Alshamsi is a renowned Emirati singer and actress, also known for being a judge and coach in “The Voice: Ahla Sawt” singing competition.
Ahlam has released 14 albums, spawning multiple hit singles such as “Zawbaaa,” “Ebn Eltorab,” and “Tesoulef Aabreti.”
She has won several awards at festivals in the region. She was named “Queen of Arab Art” at the Doha-Qatar Festival. Ahlam also performed at the UNESCO Festival and Ledo Festival in France and became the first Arab artist to perform twice on that stage.
Nabil Shuail
Accomplished Kuwaiti singer, Nabil Shuail has left an indelible mark on the Arab music scene. Affectionately known as the “Gulf Nightingale,” he has garnered acclaim for his mesmerising voice and significant contribution to Kuwait’s musical heritage.
In 1980, Shuail gained widespread recognition with the release of his album “Sikat Safar,” produced under the esteemed DanDoon Music Production Company.
Since then, he has continued to enthral listeners, delivering more than 26 albums throughout his remarkable career. His songs “Nadman,” “Sabah Al Khear,” and “Shno Sayer,” cherished by millions of fans, have garnered substantial views on platforms like YouTube.
Eida Al Menhali
The prominent Emirati singer made a significant impact with his hit single “Motasoa” and gained fame as a headline performer at the 2018 Mother of the Nation Festival held at Abu Dhabi Corniche.
Beyond his singing prowess, Al Menhali is also a skilled composer and poet, delivering moving poetry performances without musical accompaniment, a style known in the Arab world as Al Shallat.
With his album “Mahma Jara” in 2002, Al Menhali has gone on to release six albums, establishing himself as a prolific artist.
His influence extends across the Persian Gulf and the Middle East, as he has taken part in renowned festivals like Hala February Festival, Salalah Concerts, and Jerash Festival.
Al Menhali’s discography showcases his musical journey with albums like “Omsiyat Sheeriya,” “Khayef Aleik,” “Hadiyat Saif,” “Shams Al Mahaba,” “Mestareeh,” “Gharami,” and “Qemt Al Zooq.”
Abdel Aziz Alduwaihi
The celebrated Kuwaiti singer is known for his soulful voice and modern interpretations of traditional Arabic and Khaleeji melodies.
A frequent feature at major cultural festivals and concerts, Alduwaihi is acclaimed for his “vocal expression,” blending deep emotion with a contemporary twist. His work often bridges tradition and creativity, making him a popular choice for “Jalasat” (traditional music gatherings) and modern stage performances alike.
His discography includes numerous heartfelt and expressive hits such as “Ya Ma Hawalt Al-Firaq,” “Ala Kathr Al Sineen,” and “Leish Daya’t Al-Wafa.”
