Winter is festival season in Abu Dhabi. Visitors are spoilt for choice with a host of outdoor culture and entertainment events happening this time of the year.

The Sheikh Zayed Festival is currently underway in Al Wathba until March 22; The MOTN Festival is in full swing at the Corniche until January 4; and the Liwa International Festival is running until January 3.

After that, festival fans can look forward to the much-loved Al Hosn Festival, returning from January 17 to February 1, 2026.

Held at Al Hosn, home to the city’s most treasured historic site, Qasr Al Hosn, the festival celebrates Emirati culture through shared traditions, hospitality and creative expression.

Visitors are invited to explore customs that continue to shape daily life, from food and dress to crafts and live performances.

The festival offers hands-on activities and moments of discovery for all ages, bringing communities together to connect with the past and understand its place today.

As one of the most popular cultural events in Abu Dhabi, Al Hosn Festival reflects the emirate’s living history and its evolving cultural identity through its vibrant storytelling and immersive experiences.
