The Liwa Moreeb Dune Camps at the Liwa International Festival continue to draw visitors from all over the UAE and beyond with their well-organised desert experience that blends comfort and excitement.
The quality of facilities offered has been commended by campers near the famous Moreeb Dune, who pointed out that the provision of potable water refill stations, in particular, had significantly improved their stay.
In order to create a warm atmosphere that embodies the UAE’s ideals of hospitality and coexistence, designated areas have been set aside for both Emirati and non-Emirati visitors to easily set up camp.
Camping in Liwa Moreeb Dune with her friends was an effortless and refreshing experience, said Kawthar Al Ali.
She commented: “Camping here feels very organised and safe. We were able to fully enjoy the evenings in the desert without worrying about logistics because we had access to clean drinking water and clearly marked camping places. It’s the ideal spot to unwind, look up at the stars, and hang out with friends.”
Zayed Al Buraiki, who is camping with his family, said the amenities encouraged families to remain longer. “Everything we needed is here, and we spent several nights here,” he remarked, adding that the sites also catered to families with children.
“The nights in the desert are quite unique, and the atmosphere is serene. My kids will never forget the experience.”
The Moreeb Dune provided Mohammed Al Hosani and his friends a mix of ease and adventure.
“The organisation here makes camping enjoyable, but the desert can be challenging,” he remarked. “Everything is made to make guests feel at home, from water refill stations to roomy tent spaces. Around the campfire, we were able to unwind, tell stories, and take in Liwa’s energy.”
With comfort, safety and inclusivity at the forefront, the camps remain a key attraction for those seeking memorable nights under the stars in the heart of Liwa.
