Abu Dhabi’s teamLab Phenomena has been named among seven transformative arts and culture experiences on J.P. Morgan’s NextList2026 - making the emirate the only Arab city to appear on the prestigious lineup.

Described as “cutting-edge experiences at the forefront of arts and culture”, the seven attractions from around the world were selected for inspiring “big thinking and bold exploration”.

The list spotlights teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi as “a groundbreaking immersive art experience in which visitors enter a world of changing artworks that respond to movement, light, and sound”.

The destination, “a must-visit for anyone seeking inspiration and innovation”, stands among six other highly acclaimed attractions: the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art (Los Angeles, California, USA), Chess (New York City, NY, USA), Gerhard Richter at the Fondation Louis Vuitton (Paris, France), Museo Casa Kahlo (Mexico City, Mexico), National Geographic Museum of Exploration (Washington, DC, USA), Dib Bangkok International Contemporary Art Museum (Bangkok, Thailand).

NextList2026 was based on recommendations from J.P. Morgan client advisors across the globe, with each entry meticulously reviewed to ensure timeliness, quality, and global appeal.

teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi opened its doors to the public earlier this year with an inauguration ceremony witnessed by His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council.

During the ceremony, His Highness said the new landmark reinforces the emirate’s position as a leading centre for arts, culture, and innovation, praising efforts to further develop and enrich the city’s dynamic cultural and creative landscape.

The 17,000-sq.m. facility was developed by Japan’s internationally acclaimed art collective teamLab, in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi.
