The second edition of Animenia will take place from February 11 to 15, 2026, at Manarat Al Saadiyat.
The event will feature anime, music, food and entertainment, and invites visitors to flaunt their talent and costumes at its cosplay competition, which features a prize pool of Dh400,000.
The festival will celebrate the world of anime, transporting fans and gamers into the vibrant world of Neo-Tokyo.
From small-screen favourites to nostalgic classics, attendees will journey through quirky shops, glowing signs, and meet some of the beloved characters.
Bringing the experience to life, guests can expect full-scale anime scene recreations, as well as an interactive gaming zone.
The second edition will feature live entertainment, including J-Pop shows, Anisong performances, and appearances from familiar voices. The event will also include some retail and exclusive merchandise launches.
Building on last year’s competition and with an Dh400,000 prize pool up for grabs, global cosplayers are encouraged to participate in this year’s competition, featuring special awards for Best in Craftsmanship, Best in Performance, Animenia’s Spark award, among others.
