Cosmic Glow 2025, part of the Mountain Trails & Tales series, returns for its highly anticipated second season this October and November at Jebel Hafit Desert Park, with an expanded programme that celebrates the cosmos, creativity and cultural heritage.
Whether gathering under the star-filled desert sky or exploring ancient archaeological wonders of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, families and curious explorers can enjoy an authentic and immersive experience across three magical evenings on October 25, November 1 and November 8 (6.30pm to 10pm).
Curated by Cucina del Sul, Cosmic Glow’s transformative experience offers a line-up of immersive astronomy experiences, including guided stargazing sessions, deep-sky object viewing, astrophotography moments, and storytelling that are perfect for amateurs and experts alike.
Led by International Astronomy Centre (IAC) experts, visitors can gaze at celestial bodies before participating in glow-in-the-dark painting sessions, or a hands-on silk-screening experience where you can create personalised glow-in-the-dark and neon T-shirt designs inspired by ancient constellations above and local legends.
As the desert sky darkens, the air comes alive with Neon Drumming Circles, where UV-lit beats ripple outward in harmony, the vibe fuelled by resident DJs’ cosmic soundtrack that keeps the evening pulsing with life.
To complete the experience, guests are invited to attend the event, dressed in neon fashion, from glowing bracelets and playful accessories to vibrant, colourful clothing and UV-reactive outfits - together creating a living galaxy that shimmers and dances beneath the stars.
Cosmic Glow’s evening includes access to an open-fire BBQ station, snacks and beverages. The intimate atmosphere, limited to just 150 tickets per evening, guarantees that discovery, creativity, connection, and shared awe of the cosmos take centre stage.
Lastly, the Ancient Tombs Night Tour will challenge guests to explore the mysterious ancient tombs and historical ruins. Guided by an Emirati cultural specialist, event-goers can discover the untold legends of Hafit under the moonlight.
