Applications for the 2026 Christo and Jeanne-Claude Award are now open.
In the spirit of Christo and Jeanne-Claude’s work, the award is given to the proposal and creation of an artwork or installation that can be publicly exhibited.
The submission deadline is Friday, January 30, 2026.
Under the Patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Shamsa bint Hamdan Al Nahyan, the Christo and Jeanne-Claude Award 2026, presented by New York University Abu Dhabi, in partnership with The Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation (ADMAF), was established to nurture artistic talent in the United Arab Emirates.
It is produced in collaboration with the NYUAD Art Gallery.
