H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Al Dhafra Region, today crowned winners of Mazayna Al Dhafra (Camel Mazyana/Camel Beauty Contest) at the conclusion of the 17th edition of the Al Dhafra Festival as part of the camel mazayna season in Abu Dhabi.
The event, organised at the Madinat Zayed in Al Dhafra Region, was held under the patronage of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Sheikh Hamdan emphasised the keenness of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to support all heritage events, including the Al Dhafra Festival, and to enhance the culture of heritage festivals, which are an important means of educating generations, preserving heritage, and adhering to authentic customs and traditions.
He also extended thanks to the Higher Organising Committee of the festival, all partners, supporters, judging committees and working committees for their great efforts to make it a success and appear at this high level of organisation.
The winners expressed their happiness at meeting Sheikh Hamdan and extended their thanks and appreciation for his support in preserving the heritage, which had a great impact on the success of the festival, lauding the wise leadership's support for the event, which has become one of the most successful heritage events in the region.
