RABI HAMAMSAH (ABU DHABI)

With its high mountains and crystal-clear beaches Fujairah is a preferred destination for nature lovers and the emirate is listed on CNN Travel’s global destination list for 2024.

Apart from its stunning views and deep-sea diving, Fujairah, the second-smallest emirate in the UAE, has much more in store for visitors.

A major settlement on the east coast, Fujairah is separated from the rest of the UAE by the winding line of the Hajar Mountains.

Major landmarks in the emirate include:

Al Bidya Mosque is located in the north of Fujairah city. The mosque is built of mud brick and is the oldest in the UAE. It derives its name from the city that once surrounded it.

The area surrounding the castle is now part of the Heritage Village established by the Fujairah Department of Antiquities and Heritage. Here the visitor can catch a glimpse of restored old houses and exhibits on traditional life.

Sheikh Zayed Mosque

Renowned for its Islamic architectural marvels and cultural landmarks, Fujairah is home to the Sheikh Zayed Mosque, considered the second largest mosque in the country after the Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Abu Dhabi.
