Heidi, an Australian AI-powered healthcare technology company, has officially launched in the UAE and established its Middle East headquarters in Dubai. The move marks the company’s entry into the GCC region and is supported by a strategic partnership with Nabta, the UAE’s first dedicated women’s health clinic.

Heidi develops an AI Care Partner designed to support clinicians across the full care journey. Its tools include an AI scribe that automates documentation and administrative tasks, and Heidi Evidence, which provides clinicians with up-to-date, referenced medical research at the point of care.

These capabilities aim to reduce administrative burden, combat clinician burnout, and allow more time for patient care. The platform supports over 120 languages, including dialectal Arabic variants common across the GCC, and operates in line with local data sovereignty and regulatory requirements by hosting patient data in the UAE.

The GCC digital health AI market is projected to grow from $1.5 billion in 2025 to $5.86 billion by 2032, at a compound annual growth rate of approximately 21.5%. Heidi has already seen strong early adoption in the UAE, supporting roughly 80,000 consultations in the five months before the formal launch.

Through its partnership with Nabta, which brings together GPs, dietitians, physiotherapists, and OB/GYNs, Heidi has been integrated into daily clinical workflows. Nabta clinicians have conducted 837 sessions and generated over 1,000 notes and documents, with monthly transcription volume rising 2.6 times between January and May 2026. Nabta will serve as a regional centre of excellence, sharing case studies and running training on Heidi’s use in women’s health.

“At Nabta we set out to deliver care that is both culturally grounded and technologically modern, and Heidi fits that exactly,” said Sophie Smith, CEO of Nabta.

Founded in Melbourne, Australia, Heidi supports more than 2.5 million consultations per week across 110 languages and 190 countries. The company has raised $96.6 million from global investors and maintains strong security standards, including SOC2 and ISO27001 certifications.

Heidi is offering free access to its platform for small clinics and independent clinicians across the region to help strengthen healthcare capacity. The company plans to use its Dubai base to expand further across the GCC and the broader Pan-Arab region.
