Abu Dhabi Police on Tuesday issued safety instructions for motorists on how to celebrate New Year's Eve responsibly as the nation gears up to ring in 2025.
Posting a notice on social media, the Abu Dhabi Police urged the public to avoid hanging out of car windows or the sunroof. They also warned against using party sprays - by the driver, passengers or pedestrians - and littering.

The notice also cautioned motorists against reckless driving that may endanger their lives and the lives of others.
The police highlighted that the above violations can carry a penalty of up to Dh2,000 along with 23 traffic points and 60 days of vehicle impoundment. The minimum penalty is Dh1,000 along with 6 traffic points.
