Abdulla Bin Mohammed Al Hamed, Chairman of the National Media Office, and Chairman of the UAE Media Council, outlined a comprehensive vision for the evolution of the UAE’s media sector. This came in his keynote address during the 'Future of Media' session at the Global Media Congress 2024 today.
Emphasising the unique strengths of the UAE’s leadership in decision-making and their proximity to the people, Al Hamed highlighted the nation's ability to adapt swiftly to global changes and translate national priorities into impactful media strategies.
A key focus of the address was the integration of emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence, in transforming media into a more dynamic and efficient tool. He stressed the importance of enacting laws and regulations that ensure these technologies are utilised responsibly, fostering transparency and countering misinformation in the digital sphere.
