Khazna Data Centers, a leading provider of state-of-the-art data centre solutions, is showcasing their latest offerings, including advanced liquid cooling technology, at the GITEX Global 2024 exhibition currently being held in Dubai.

Speaking to Aletihad on the sidelines of the event, Hassan Alnaqbi, CEO of Khazna Data Centers, said: "Khazna is the largest operator in the UAE and one of the largest infrastructure providers in the entire region. Since our inception in 2012, we have grown to operate 24 facilities across the UAE, with seven more under construction. Recently, we announced a major data centre focused on AI, designed to deliver 100 MW of power specifically tailored for AI applications."

He said that they are showcasing their latest technology at GITEX 2024 for digital transformation, addressing power demand and intensity needs of hyper-scale providers. Liquid-to-liquid cooling technology provides over 150 kW per cabinet, optimising energy efficiency.

Regarding the uniqueness of the new data centre, Alnaqbi said: "This centre is specifically designed for AI applications. Unlike traditional facilities that often rely on air cooling, we are introducing advanced liquid cooling, which enhances power density and complexity, allowing us to bring our technology closer to AI circuits. This facility, with its 100 MW capacity, represents a significant scale compared to our previous projects."

When discussing the role of AI in promoting innovation, he noted that they are leveraging AI to promote innovation, improve efficiency across industries, and benefit both citizens and businesses.

Alnaqbi further stressed the UAE's commitment to AI leadership, stating: "The UAE has been taking the lead in AI initiatives since even before the establishment of G42 in 2017. The government has assigned a minister of AI, showcasing its serious intent to advance in this field."

Regarding future expansion plans, he said: "As we continue to grow, we see phenomenal opportunities in the UAE and the region. Our access to global partnerships with AI leaders gives us a competitive advantage. We are actively expanding our presence and investment in sustainable energy, ensuring we are well-prepared for the future."
