The Jiu-Jitsu Asian Union (JJAU) re-elected Abdulmunem Alsayed Mohammed Alhashmi as President for a new term by acclamation.
This came during the General Assembly meeting held today in the UAE capital on the sidelines of the 8th Asian Jiu-Jitsu Championship.
The meeting was attended by Panagiotis Theodoropoulos, JJIF President; Joachim Thumfart, Director-General of JJIF, representatives of the Olympic Council of Asia, members of the JJAU Board of Directors, and presidents of national federations from across the continent.
Furthermore, it saw the election of Fahad Ali Al Shamsi as Secretary-General of the JJAU, the appointment of Takamasa Watanabe as Deputy Secretary-General, and Tariq Al Bahri as Treasurer.
Additionally, the General Assembly also approved the new Executive Board, which includes First Deputy President Reza Monfaradi, President of the Bahrain Jiu-Jitsu Federation, and five Vice Presidents representing different regions of Asia from the federations of Mongolia, Thailand, Iraq, Kazakhstan, and India.
