The National Centre of Meteorology expects the UAE's northern and eastern regions to experience some rainfall over the next few days, it announced in a weather bulletin on Wednesday.
In its forecast for the period from Friday, October 10 to Tuesday, October 14, the NCM said the country will be affected by an extension of a surface low-pressure system from the south and an upper-level low accompanied by a relatively cold and humid air mass.
As a result, light to moderate rain can be expected, which can become heavy occasionally at scattered intervals, affecting mainly the northern and eastern regions, and extending at times to some inland and western areas.
Temperatures are also expected to drop, and some areas may experience hail.
Winds will mainly be light to moderate in speed, and southeasterly to northeasterly shifting to northwesterly. Winds can get stronger at times and may raise dust and sand.
Seas will mainly see slight to moderate waves, occasionally becoming rough under cloud cover in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
