Abu Dhabi Police (ADP), in cooperation with the "Absher Ya Watan" team, implemented the "Ramadan Baskets Initiative."
The initiative involved the distribution of 300 Ramadan baskets to families in need, 200 baskets in Abu Dhabi city and 100 baskets in Al Ain city.
The programme, which is part of the Ramadan 2024 initiative, aims to provide families in need with the basic necessities including varied food items.
Director of Ceremony and Public Relations Department, General Saif Saeed Al-Shamsi, reaffirmed ADP's keenness to cooperate with all relevent entities in the field of humanitarian and charitable work.
This is especially important during the holy month of Ramadan, he said, adding that these efforts also aim to enhance the sense of responsibility towards one's community, and to spread the spirit of tolerance, love and giving.
