The United Arab Emirates continues its efforts to support the people of Gaza through the “Gallant Knight 3” operation, a humanitarian initiative spearheaded by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Up to the present, the UAE’s contribution to the Palestinian cause has amounted to 16,170 tonnes of aid, delivered through 181 cargo planes, two cargo ships, and 558 land trucks.
The field hospital in Gaza has catered to 9,711 patients, while the floating hospital in Arish, Egypt, has treated 56 individuals.

In a significant boost to local resources, the UAE has established six water desalination plants, collectively producing 1.2 million gallons of water daily for Gaza’s residents.

Additionally, five automated bakeries, inaugurated by the UAE, now produce approximately 15,000 loaves of bread per hour, contributing significantly to food security in the region.

As a part of the “Gallant Knight 3” humanitarian operation, the UAE inaugurated an Emirati field hospital in Rafah on December 3, 2023.

This 200-bed facility is equipped with surgical suites capable of a wide range of operations, intensive care units for both adults and children, and departments for anaesthesia, internal medicine, dentistry, orthopaedics, psychiatry, family medicine, paediatrics, and women’s health, alongside supporting medical services.

It also offers CT scans, X-rays, and pharmacies, equipped with the latest technology for various diagnostics and treatments, ensuring the highest international standards of care for its patients.
Moreover, in collaboration with the Egyptian Air Force, the UAE deployed the “Birds of Goodness” humanitarian operation, dropping 372 tonnes of aid to support the Palestinian people in Gaza.
This initiative underscores the high level of Emirati-Egyptian coordination and embodies the spirit of Arab and humanitarian solidarity.

“Birds of Goodness” is a testament to the UAE and Egypt’s commitment to alleviating the hardships faced by Palestinians, setting a precedent for global humanitarian efforts.

This gesture of goodwill underscores both nations’ resolve to offer comprehensive humanitarian aid, navigating through the challenges to assist the Palestinian community in their time of need.
