Abu Dhabi Police (ADP) implemented an awareness initiative, as part of the World's Coolest Winter Campaign, in collaboration with their strategic partner, the Department of Culture and Tourism.
The Tourism Police Department from the Criminal Investigations Directorate spoke to 680 tourists of different ages and nationalities intending to enhance tourism security.
The goal is also to provide guidance to desert camp visitors and familiarise tourists with the relevant laws in the emirate to ensure everyone has the best experience.
Deputy Director of the Criminal Security Department at ADP, Brigadier General Muslim Mohammed Al Ameri, emphasised the importance of public safety, positivity, and education when it comes to maintaining personal and public security.
He also advised them to steer clear of certain negative behaviours, provided guidance on reaching out to emergency centres for assistance, and guided them to popular tourist and cultural sites in Abu Dhabi.
Al Ameri highlighted the important role his department plays in promoting the UAE as a country of tolerance and cultural diversity in Abu Dhabi.
He also underscored ADP's commitment to fostering values of tolerance outlined in the UAE's national strategy.
