The Dubai Traffic Department welcomed a high-level delegation from the Republic of Iraq's Ministry of Interior.
Led by the Deputy Minister of Interior, Lieutenant General Adel Abbas Ibrahim, the delegation was warmly welcomed by the Director of the General Department of Traffic at Dubai Police, Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazroui.
In yet another example of Dubai Police’s commitment to international cooperation and knowledge exchange, Al Mazroui presented an insightful overview of the responsibilities and initiatives undertaken by the General Department of Traffic to ensure road safety, minimise accidents and fatalities, and enforce laws promoting stability and security.
He emphasised their commitment to maintaining order and utilising highly skilled human resources alongside cutting-edge equipment and technology.
Al Mazouri further stressed the importance of this visit in strengthening collaborative efforts and exchanging valuable insights and practices in traffic management and safety.
The visit also included a demonstration of advanced technologies employed by Dubai Police, including traffic patrol cameras that identify vehicles involved in criminal and traffic offences.
Guests were also introduced to the sophisticated operations room that manages city-wide events and traffic flow, featuring the latest intelligent control systems for traffic management. These systems include technical controls for monitoring efficiency, radar locations, daily detection rates, traffic congestion, and road vehicle density.
Additionally, Al Mazroui showcased the innovative use of smart control cameras in automatically adjusting and issuing traffic violations based on specific data inputs, thus enhancing the efficiency of traffic control and enforcement.
