The Ajman Transport Authority announced that the number of users of the transportation system in the emirate reached 26 million during the year 2023.

They emphasised that the system provides a sustainable and integrated transportation system of high quality, which enhances the concept of mass transportation and offers distinguished services that satisfy all users of public transportation.

Director General of the Ajman Transport Authority, Omar Mohammed Lootah, stated that the Authority carried out 11,402,598 passenger trips, 86 percent of which were taken by taxi.

He also pointed out that taxi rides accounted for approximately 98 percent of the total trips in the system.

Furthermore, 14 percent of the total system users in the emirate utilised public transportation, including buses, buses on demand, and sea transportation (Abra).

Lootah highlighted that the authority improved passenger transportation services by utilising surveillance cameras and tracking systems in all modes of transportation. In addition to having observers keep an eye out for any violations or illegal transportation of passengers.

Additionally, the system offers various different payment options, including the Masar card for public and marine transport, enabling customers to pay for their trips in a way that is convenient for them.
