The Sharjah Charity International (SCI) treated over 1,100 patients through its medical programmes in 2023.

Sharing details about the organisation's work, Abdullah Sultan bin Khadim, SCI Executive Director, said that they provided Dh22.1 million in medical assistance in 2023, supporting 1,105 patients. This included critical care for 136 patients with chronic diseases (Dh1.6 million), 71 cancer patients (Dh3 million), and dialysis sessions for those with kidney failure (Dh6.6 million).

Patients can request treatment through the SCI website.

SCI further added that they covered surgical costs for 249 patients, costing Dh6 million. These procedures included vital organ transplants (liver, marrow, kidney), heart surgeries, stroke treatment, and catheterisations, along with supporting 72 births.

Assisting and treating patients remains a top priority for SCI, guiding their mission to help those with chronic illnesses and critical needs who cannot afford medical care, and collaborating with various partners to maximize their impact.
