ABU DHABI (ALETIHAD)

Lulu Group has launched AWWAL, a new retail range bringing together products grown, produced and manufactured in the UAE under a single brand.

Dr Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of Foreign Trade, launched the range alongside Yusuffali M.A., Chairman of Lulu Group, during Global Food Week 2026 at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, according to a statement.

Built around the positioning “UAE Comes First”, AWWAL covers three categories: UAE Grown, UAE Produced and UAE Made.

The UAE Grown category includes locally cultivated fruits, vegetables, dates and herbs, while UAE Produced covers dairy products, eggs, poultry, honey and other locally produced foods. UAE Made comprises food and other products manufactured in the country.

Lulu said the initiative was designed to give UAE products greater visibility and make it easier for shoppers to identify and choose locally grown, produced and manufactured goods.

The products will be promoted through distinctive AWWAL branding, dedicated displays at Lulu stores, promotions and consumer campaigns. The company said the range would provide a retail platform connecting UAE farmers, producers and manufacturers with its customer base.

“AWWAL will initially feature a curated selection across fresh produce, dairy, poultry, dates, honey, bakery, beverages and other UAE-made food categories, with the range progressively expanding to include more UAE producers and products,” Yusuffali said.

“Through AWWAL, we aim to use Lulu’s extensive retail reach to champion UAE products, strengthen consumer awareness and preference for locally produced goods and support the continued growth of the UAE’s agriculture, food production and manufacturing ecosystem,” he added.

Lulu said it would progressively add more UAE producers and products to the range, providing local businesses with greater visibility and access to its customers.
