Zayed University is celebrating its Class of 2026 from September 29 to October 1, marking a significant milestone for graduates as they reflect on years of hard work, commitment and achievement.
Held under the theme “ZU Future Makers”, the graduation ceremonies celebrate a new generation of leaders, thinkers and professionals prepared to contribute to the UAE’s continued development.
For many graduates, the occasion reflects the values and vision of the UAE’s Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and their aspirations to contribute to the country’s future.
For Manal Ahmed, an Environmental Science and Sustainability graduate who now works as an environmental consultant at Action Sales, her academic journey is closely connected to that legacy.
“I am currently working as an environmental consultant at Action Sales. I chose Environmental Science and Sustainability at Zayed University because I wanted to give back to the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed and contribute to the values he instilled in us.”
For other graduates, graduation marks the beginning of entrepreneurial and professional ambitions.
Nasser Mohammed Al-Jaidi, a College of Business graduate, said: “After graduating from the College of Business at Zayed University, I aspire to start my own business and build a very successful coffee shop and restaurant.”
Khalifa Fahad Al Hosani, who graduated in Finance from the College of Business, described graduation as the start of a new chapter. “Today marks the beginning of a new chapter and a better future. I hope to make the most of the opportunities available to us and use them as a foundation to build a successful career.”
For Raghad Al Hashem, who graduated in Marketing and Entrepreneurship, the milestone is also a moment to recognise those who supported her throughout the journey.
“I am very proud to be graduating from Zayed University in 2026. I would like to thank the university and, most importantly, my family, who have always been my first source of support throughout this journey.”
The university’s role in nurturing creativity was also highlighted by Malak Mohammed, a graduate of the College of Arts and Creative Enterprises.
“I chose Zayed University because I believe it has one of the strongest arts programmes in the UAE, and I believe it will continue to grow and thrive.”
For Laith Al Zaabi, who graduated in Environmental Science and Sustainability, family support was central to his university experience. “I am very thankful to my parents for encouraging me to complete my degree and for supporting me throughout my university journey.”
Meanwhile, Shamma Al Ali, a Science graduate, said her choice of major was driven by her passion for the field. “I am graduating from Zayed University today, and I chose science because I am passionate about the field. It has been a very rewarding journey, and I am proud to graduate in a field that I truly enjoy.”
Haya Mohammed Al Mahri, a graduate of the College of Natural and Health Sciences, said she hopes to build on her university experience through a career in environmental science and sustainability.
“I would like to thank my parents for supporting me throughout my four years at Zayed University. After graduation, I hope to continue growing in my field and build a career in environmental science and sustainability.”
The importance of family support was echoed by Jawhara Al Zarouni, mother of Wafer Al Zarouni, a Graphic Design graduate and graduation speaker. She described the family’s role as one of encouragement and guidance as Wafer begins her professional journey.
“We encourage her and support her in whatever path she chooses. Whenever she needs our advice, we are always there for her.”
