ABU DHABI (ALETIHAD)
Abu Dhabi Police Commander-in-Chief Major General Ahmed Saif bin Zaitoun Al Muhairi has honoured Policeman First Class Ali Abdulhadi Al Hajri for helping several families whose bus broke down on the road to the Ghuwaifat border crossing.
Al Hajri stopped to check on the families, made sure they were safe, and arranged the help they needed so they could continue their trip.
Brigadier Nasser Suleiman Al Maskari, Director of the Central Operations Sector, also attended the ceremony.
Major General Al Muhairi praised the officer's quick thinking and sense of responsibility, adding that acts like this show that police work in Abu Dhabi goes beyond duty to serving the community, and reflect the spirit of solidarity and compassion found in UAE society.
Al Hajri said he was proud to be honoured, adding that helping people is both a national and humanitarian duty, stemming from his commitment to help anyone in need of assistance.
