Abu Dhabi Police honoured several members of the community for their bravery, quick response and sense of responsibility in handling emergencies and incidents, the force announced on Monday.

Brigadier Nasser Suleiman Al Maskari, Director of Operations in the Central Operations Sector at Abu Dhabi Police, presented the award to Yusra Qasim Ahmed Outli. Despite being injured in a school bus accident, Outli reassured the children, organised their evacuation, and ensured they were safe until emergency services arrived.

Nabil Ali Saleh Al Balushi and Khalid Ali Abdullah Al Mansouri were also honoured for rescuing people trapped inside vehicles that caught fire in two separate traffic accidents.

Abu Dhabi Police honoured Mohammed Waqar Zulfiqar Ali for reporting and removing an obstruction on the road, helping prevent potential traffic hazards.

Al Maskari praised the honourees, saying their actions reflected values of courage, solidarity and social responsibility, while highlighting the importance of cooperation between police and the community in protecting lives and enhancing safety.
