ABU DHABI (ALETIHAD)

Organised by the Ministry of Defence in collaboration with ADNEC Group, under the supervision of the International Committee of Military Medicine, Abu Dhabi will host the 46th World Congress of Military Medicine – Abu Dhabi 2026 from 9-13 November at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi.

Held under the theme 'Ready When Needed. Resilient When Tested', the congress will bring together senior medical, military, and civilian leaders, healthcare professionals, researchers, academics, and industry partners from more than 120 countries.

The congress aims to strengthen international cooperation between military and civilian medical services worldwide, showcase the latest developments and innovations in military medicine, disseminate scientific knowledge and research, and exchange expertise to advance military healthcare systems.

The programme features specialised scientific sessions, workshops, professional meetings, and an accompanying exhibition covering medical readiness, advanced medical care, disaster response, and emerging medical technologies.

This is the first time the congress will be held in the UAE, having convened every two years since 1921 under the supervision of the International Committee of Military Medicine, an intergovernmental organisation of more than 100 member and observer states.

The congress reinforces the UAE and Abu Dhabi's global leadership in hosting scientific, military, and civilian medical dialogue, and strengthens cooperation, innovation, and humanitarian impact in military medicine.
