UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan sent a congratulatory message to Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on his election and taking the constitutional oath as President of the People's Republic of Bangladesh.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE and Chairman of the Presidential Court, sent similar congratulatory messages to President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.
