Abu Dhabi Police General Command received a delegation from the Italian Police in a visit aimed at strengthening cooperation, exchanging expertise and learning about Abu Dhabi Police's leading practices in police qualification and training, the Safe City system and artificial intelligence technologies.
The visit supports the development of security operations in line with international best practices.
The delegation began with a visit to the Police Qualification Department in Al Ain, affiliated with the Saif bin Zayed Academy for Security and Policing Sciences.
The delegation was briefed on approved qualification and training programmes, modern training methodologies and specialised curricula that contribute to preparing qualified police personnel equipped with leadership capabilities, field skills and academic knowledge in accordance with the latest international standards.
The visit included a tour of the department's facilities, covering education sections, a shooting range, the innovative education centre and military training facilities.
The delegation learned about the advanced training system, which uses virtual reality, simulation systems and artificial intelligence to develop personnel capabilities and enhance their readiness to address various security challenges.
