The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) announced that the highest temperature recorded in the UAE on Thursday was 49°C in Tawiyen, located in Fujairah, at 1:30pm local time.
According to its bulletin on X, the weather bureau recorded the five highest temperatures across the country on Thursday in the following areas:
- Tawiyen: 49°C at 1:30pm
- Sweihan: 48.9°C at 2:15pm
- Saih Al Salem: 48.5°C at 4:00pm
- Al Shawamekh: 48.4°C at 2:45pm
- Falaj Al Moalla: 48.3°C at 1:45pm
