ABU DHABI (ALETIHAD)
The Ministry of Interior (MoI) has warned that vehicles producing loud noise disturb the public and cause discomfort to residents, and such actions are subject to legal penalties.
In the post on X, MoI also clarified that making unauthorised modifications to a vehicle’s engine or chassis is considered a traffic offence.
The penalty includes a Dh1,000 fine, 12 black points, and vehicle impoundment for 30 days.
The post noted that "This is in line with Article (73) of the Schedule of Violations, as stipulated in Ministerial Resolution No. (178) of 2017 on traffic control rules and procedures."
تنوه وزارة الداخلية بأن إصدار أصوات مزعجة من المركبات يسبب إزعاجاً وقلقاً للسكان، ويعرض مرتكبها للمساءلة القانونية.
