The UAE continues to maintain normal daily life and uninterrupted services while coordinating with Gulf allies amid Iranian attacks, according to Reem Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation.
“Across the country, government agencies are operating at the highest level of readiness around the clock. Daily life continues normally, and all essential sectors are functioning without interruption, following preemptive plans to ensure that the needs of citizens and residents are fully met,” she said during a government media briefing on Tuesday.
The minister condemned Iran’s actions against the UAE as “unjustified” and called for international intervention to prevent further escalation.
An attack on the UAE or other Gulf states is a threat to collective regional security, she said.
Al Hashimy further reaffirmed the UAE’s balanced approach, noting that while the country reserves its right to self-defence under international law, it continues to prioritise diplomatic solutions, dialogue, and measured responses.
She highlighted recent diplomatic measures, including the closure of the UAE Embassy in Tehran, recalling its ambassador, and summoning the Iranian ambassador, as part of the country’s efforts to protect its sovereignty without triggering wider military escalation.
