Messages of solidarity and condemnation have poured in from across the globe following the recent Iranian attacks that targeted the UAE. World leaders reaffirmed their support for the country’s security, stability and sovereignty, emphasising the urgent need to safeguard peace in the region.

Across the Gulf, leaders moved swiftly to express firm backing for the UAE. Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman and Kuwait issued statements strongly condemning the attacks and rejecting any violation of Emirati sovereignty, stressing that the security of the UAE is integral to the stability of the wider Gulf region.

Jordan and Iraq echoed similar positions, reaffirming their solidarity with the UAE and rejecting actions that threaten regional security.

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed also received phone calls from other Arab leaders, including Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Lebanese President Joseph Aoun, and Moroccan King Mohammed VI, who all expressed their solidarity with the UAE.

During the calls, the leaders condemned the attacks, reaffirmed their rejection of any violation of Emirati sovereignty, and underscored the importance of upholding international law and preventing further escalation in the region.

The League of Arab States condemned the attacks in the UAE and other countries, describing them as “a flagrant violation of sovereignty”. The General Secretariat of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation likewise strongly condemned the attacks and reiterated its solidarity for the UAE and other countries.

Support extended well beyond the Middle East. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, and Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides expressed solidarity with the UAE leadership, condemning the attacks and reaffirming their countries’ commitment to stability.

From Europe, French President Emmanuel Macron, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Prime Minister of the Hellenic Republic, voiced rejection and condemnation of the attacks on the UAE.

The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, also condemned the escalation and stressed the importance of regional stability. She also expressed support for the UAE in all the measures it takes to defend its territory, security and sovereignty.


The Rt Hon Sir Keir Starmer, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, also reaffirmed the UK’s condemnation of the Iranian attacks targeting the territory of the UAE.

Shehbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, spoke with His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed to convey Pakistan’s strong condemnation of strikes against the UAE.

UN Secretary-General António Guterres also took to X to condemn the military escalation in the Middle East, stating that it undermines international peace and security.

In their communications with the UAE leadership, heads of state and government consistently underscored that attacks on the country represent not only a threat to one nation but a challenge to regional stability.

Their messages reaffirmed support for the UAE’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, while calling for restraint, diplomacy, and the prevention of further escalation.
