The UAE’s security situation remains fully under control, with emergency systems and government agencies operating around the clock to address any potential threats, senior officials said in a televised interview on Saturday amid regional developments.

The country’s air force and air defence forces have so far dealt with 165 ballistic missiles, two cruise missiles, and 541 Iranian drones since the start of the attack, the Ministry of Defence said in a statement.

Dr Saif Al Dhaheri, spokesperson for the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA), affirmed that “the situation is under control”.

“We are working under a comprehensive system capable of addressing all types of threats,” he told Abu Dhabi TV.

“Committees and working teams have been operating around the clock since this morning (Saturday) to implement all alternatives and solutions to deal with any repercussions of the aggressive attack.”

Brigadier General Abdulaziz Al Ahmad, Director General of Central Operations at the Ministry of Interior, echoed these assurances. “The security situation is under full control,” he said. “The UAE protects its national sovereignty through a proactive approach. The Ministry of Interior, along with its partners on the ground, is at the highest level of readiness to respond to any event.”

When asked whether there is reason for public concern, Dr Al Dhaheri highlighted the resilience of UAE institutions.

“We have a system that works,” he said. “The safety of people and society is our top priority.”

Brigadier General Al Ahmad said that there are currently no indicators warranting concern, thanks to the efficiency of the UAE’s defence system.

“The UAE possesses a comprehensive security infrastructure designed to ensure continuity of normal life and protect everyone living on its territory,” he added.

Dr Al Dhaheri stressed that national readiness remains robust, supported by highly responsive authorities and real-time media updates, with measures to manage rumours and ensure timely information.

The Ministry of Interior follows a proactive and firm approach when dealing with misinformation.

Rumour sources are tracked, monitored, and brought to justice immediately, Brigadier General Al Ahmad said.

Officials urged the public to remain vigilant and rely only on official sources. “Community awareness represents the first line of defence and a key partner in protecting the country and maintaining its stability,” Dr Al Dhaheri noted.

Precautionary measures implemented by the Ministry of Interior amidst regional tensions include full security readiness, neighbourhood deployments, continuous 24-hour operations, intensified surveillance, rapid response systems, and strengthened coordination with the Ministry of Defence.
