ABU DHABI (ALETIHAD)
The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a weather update predicting unstable weather conditions from Saturday, December 20, to Tuesday, December 23.
Saturday
On Saturday, the weather is expected to be partly cloudy to cloudy skies with occasional convective cloud formation, particularly over coastal, northern, and eastern areas, where rainfall is likely. Winds will be moderate to fresh, coming from the northwesterly to southwesterly directions, occasionally reaching speeds of 50 km/h, along with blowing dust and sand. The sea conditions are expected to be rough in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.
Sunday
Moving into Sunday, the weather is forecasted to remain generally partly cloudy, with low clouds forming over islands, coastal regions, and the western areas. There is a possibility of rain, especially overnight into Monday.
Humidity levels are expected to rise overnight in some internal western areas. Winds will be light to moderate, with localised dust, and speeds up to 35 km/h. The sea is expected to transition from rough to moderate conditions.
Monday & Tuesday
For Monday, partly cloudy to cloudy weather is anticipated, especially over islands and western regions. Humidity will continue into the night, impacting some internal western areas.
Northeasterly to southeasterly winds will pick up slightly, with speeds reaching up to 35 km/h during the day.
By Tuesday, similar weather patterns will persist, with partly cloudy to cloudy skies and overnight humidity. The sea conditions are expected to remain moderate in the Arabian Gulf and slight in the Oman Sea.
