ABU DHABI (ALETIHAD)
The Integrated Transport Centre (Abu Dhabi Mobility), an affiliate of the Department of Municipalities and Transport, has announced the variable speed system on a key Abu Dhabi road.
According to a notice issued on social media, the variable speed system will be implemented on the Capital's Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Street: "In line with our efforts to enhance road safety, the variable speed system will be implemented on Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Street effective from Monday, October 27, 2025.
"We urge everyone to adhere to the speed limits to ensure the safety of all"

The speed limit will be adjusted in the following situations:
- Adverse weather conditions
- During peak hours
- During events
- When roadworks are being carried out
The system aims to improve traffic flow and enhance road safety.
