The third "Retreat of Resolve" of the Saudi-Emirati Coordination Council, held in Abu Dhabi, highlighted the deepening partnership between the UAE and Saudi Arabia, emphasising the shared vision of both nations to advance cooperation, integration, and sustainable development across vital sectors.

Speaking during the retreat, Omar Obaid Al Hassan Al Shamsi, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said the gathering reflects the depth of the historical and strategic partnership between the two countries under leaderships that believe in dialogue, cooperation, and integration as foundations for stability and shared prosperity.

He noted that the retreat serves as an important milestone in the path of bilateral cooperation and an opportunity to strengthen existing partnerships and explore new horizons for joint work.

Al Shamsi emphasised the importance of maintaining "a spirit of one team" and enhancing coordination among the various committees and entities of both sides to "ensure that the outcomes reflect the strength of the relationship and the determination of both nations to set a successful model of constructive collaboration."

He also expressed appreciation to all participants "for their sincere efforts and valuable contributions in advancing the objectives of the Council and building upon the achievements realised under its framework."

From the Saudi side, Rakan bin Waddah Tarabzoni, Deputy Minister for International Economic Affairs at the Ministry of Economy and Planning of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, reaffirmed the strength of the bond between the two nations.

He noted that the Coordination Council has become a cornerstone for deepening cooperation and unifying efforts to achieve the aspirations and wellbeing for people on both sides.

According to Tarabzoni, since its inception, the council has launched a large number of joint strategic initiatives across multiple sectors, activating around 24 cooperative fields and nearly 54 initiatives over the past year alone.

"This coordination translates the strength of the relationship into tangible, positive results that serve shared interests and contribute to regional prosperity," he said.

He concluded that the Saudi-UAE partnership will continue to move confidently towards new horizons of integration and leadership, ensuring the Council remains a model for regional cooperation and a driver of economic growth and stability across the region.
