Companies are actively working on transformative solutions to reduce their carbon footprint and are collaborating with other stakeholders on innovative ways to achieve a more sustainable future.
Aletihad spoke to business leaders and innovators on the sidelines of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2025, a platform that brings together experts at the forefront of the clean energy transition.
Dr. Christian Gueckel, Vice President and Head of Strategic Business and Marketing at Catalyst, told Aletihad: "Companies are actively working on transformative solutions to reduce their carbon footprint, improve efficiency, and unlock new technologies.
"The company's focus is on decarbonising existing industrial processes, developing new, cleaner technologies, and leveraging AI and machine learning to improve performance across industries.
"We are supporting the industry by helping to make hydrogen portable and transforming processes to reduce emissions," he said, stressing the importance of collaborative innovation to achieve global sustainability goals.
Aurélien Delahaye, Deputy Managing Director of EDF Middle East, Aletihad, noted that Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week is vital for fostering cross-industry collaboration, highlighting the importance of green energy in the region's sustainability agenda.
