The UAE Journalists Association honoured TRENDS Research & Advisory as a strategic partner during its Silver Jubilee celebrations, marking 25 years since its establishment. The event recognised the association’s quarter-century of achievements and contributions to journalism at local, regional, and international levels.

The ceremony took place in Dubai, with the presence of prominent media leaders, presidents of international and regional journalist federations, and distinguished journalists from worldwide.

The honour was in recognition of TRENDS' active role in supporting and contributing to the success of the Silver Jubilee celebration, as well as its efforts in advancing research, intellectual discourse, and knowledge-based analysis of global issues.

Strengthening Press Freedom

Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research & Advisory, expressed gratitude for the recognition, describing the UAE Journalists Association as a vital institution in the national media landscape. He highlighted its key role in promoting press freedom, developing the media sector, and training journalists to keep pace with rapid technological advancements.

Dr. Al-Ali congratulated the association’s board of directors on its Silver Jubilee, noting that the organisation serves as a home for journalists, providing a platform for shaping public opinion, correcting misconceptions, and promoting a culture of tolerance and coexistence.

He emphasised that the association is a strategic partner of TRENDS, supporting its research and studies by showcasing findings at various intellectual events. This collaboration reinforces the importance of research-driven journalism and informed public discourse.

TRENDS: A Leading Research Institution

Fadila Al-Muaini, Chairperson of the UAE Journalists Association, praised TRENDS as a leading research institution that provides forward-looking insights and contributes to research, continuous development, and training. 

She commended TRENDS’ role in ensuring the success of the Silver Jubilee event, emphasising its valuable contributions to journalism and media through its strategic studies, research, and objective analyses of contemporary global issues.

Al-Muaini reiterated the importance of sustained partnerships between media and research institutions, stating that the collaboration between the UAE Journalists Association and TRENDS strengthens the media sector and enhances the UAE’s global standing as a hub for knowledge and intellectual leadership.
