The National Ambulance will continue to deliver essential emergency medical services at Yas Marina Circuit for the Formula 1® Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2024, taking place from December 5-8.
Operating under the National Guard Command, National Ambulance continues to enhance public safety and health measures across operations at Yas Marina Circuit throughout the year and for the annual Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
A multidisciplinary team of 50+ skilled & trained professionals, including doctors, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, pharmacists, dispatchers, event commanders and other support staff, will provide medical coverage for F1 teams and patrons alike across the circuit’s facilities including the Medical Centre.
In addition, a fleet comprising 15 emergency vehicles and a helicopter emergency medical service unit, provided by the National Guard’s National Search and Rescue, stand ready to provide air ambulance support throughout the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix if required.
In close collaboration with the Emirates Motorsport Organisation (EMSO), National Ambulance is supported by additional specialised teams to ensure seamless coordination and comprehensive coverage across all medical aspects.
This collaboration ensures that National Ambulance resources and expertise are prepared to meet the complexities of managing emergency medical responses at high-profile events of the scale of the Formula 1® Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

Besides providing emergency medical cover for the Formula 1® Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix this weekend, National Ambulance operates year-round emergency medical services at the Yas Marina Circuit throughout the entire season, covering major events such as the Gulf 12 Hours, TriYAS, Yas Racing Series, Yas Super Street Challenge, and many others.
These services support a variety of activities at the circuit including entertainment, motorsport, and community health and fitness initiatives.
