TRENDS Research and Advisory signed a cooperation agreement with Russia Today (RT), under which the two parties will implement joint research and media projects aimed at analysing emerging global issues and crises through precise and well-studied scientific insights.

The agreement seeks to expand cooperation between the two entities to include launching joint training programmes and courses, conducting specialised field and media studies, and exchanging knowledge by leveraging the expertise of both sides in strategic research.

The agreement was signed by Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research and Advisory, and Mazen Youssef, Director of RT Arabic website, at the TRENDS pavilion during the third edition of the Global Media Congress.

Geopolitical Shifts

Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali stated that the agreement with Russia Today aligns with the shared goal of exchanging knowledge and expertise and implementing joint research and media projects to deepen the understanding of geopolitical shifts at the regional and global levels.

He highlighted that this partnership supports TRENDS’ strategy to expand its network of academic, research and media partners, maximising the benefits of diverse global perspectives, enhancing dialogue culture, and building sustainable knowledge societies while advancing global scientific research efforts.

Analytical and Scientific Insights

Dr. Al-Ali added that the collaboration with RT contributes to the development of research and media production by creating media content grounded in analytical and scientific insights. This content will address current global issues, raising public awareness of their realities and future implications.

The partnership also includes organising scientific and media events, such as international conferences, workshops, symposiums and panel discussions, involving academics, researchers, decision-makers, and media professionals to explore regional and international challenges and opportunities.

Media Research

Maya Manna, Director of RT Arabic channel, expressed optimism about the collaboration with TRENDS Research and Advisory. She stated, “I am confident that the partnership between RT Arabic and TRENDS will bring new momentum to the field of media research. Over the past 18 years, RT Arabic has built a trusted relationship with viewers and established a unique database that will serve as a valuable resource for TRENDS in preparing and publishing analytical articles on the contemporary global media landscape”.

In a related context, TRENDS Research and Advisory awarded Mazen Youssef, Director of the Russia Today website, the TRENDS Media Medal in recognition of his media efforts in supporting scientific research and knowledge dissemination.
