Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, yesterday met with a delegation from the United States Congress in Abu Dhabi.
The delegation included Senator Vicente Gonzalez, Senator Adriano Espaillat, and Representatives Lorena Saenz and Viany Cabrera.
The meeting discussed the strategic partnership and friendship between the UAE and the United States, exploring ways to further strengthen cooperation across various fields to serve the mutual interests of both nations and their peoples.
The two sides also deliberated on issues related to shared human values such as tolerance, coexistence, and human fraternity, highlighting their role in fostering stability and peace regionally and globally, for the benefit of nations’ development, progress, and prosperity.
Following the meeting, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak emphasised the depth of UAE-US relations, which are based on supporting mutual interests. He underscored the importance of continuous dialogue with the United States to exchange ideas and perspectives on regional and international issues of mutual concern and welcomed the US Congress delegation to the UAE.
For their part, members of the US Congress delegation expressed their gratitude for the warm reception and the exchange of ideas, reaffirming the UAE’s significant role in promoting international peace and security.
