H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, met with Gunnar Strömer, Minister of Justice for the Kingdom of Sweden, to discuss strengthening bilateral relations.

The meeting discussed bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and ways to enhance cooperation in the security fields and combating organised crime and cybercrime.

The two sides underscored the importance of using advanced technologies in light of the challenges of the security environment at the regional and international levels, in a way that enhances the climate of security and stability in societies.

The discussions were attended by Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Interior; Major General Sheikh Mohammed bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Director of the Special Tasks Sector at Abu Dhabi Police; and several senior officers from the Ministry of Interior.

Also present were Fredrik Florin, Swedish Ambassador to the UAE; Anna Karin Svensson, Director-General of International Affairs at the Swedish Ministry of Justice; Ashraf Ahmed, Director of the Swedish Central Authority at the Ministry of Justice; Karin Hanriksson, Legal Advisor at the Ministry of Justice; and other officials.
