H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, met with Panche Toshkovski, Minister of Interior of the Republic of North Macedonia.

During the meeting, H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed and the Minister of Interior of the Republic of North Macedonia discussed several topics related to enhancing security cooperation between the two friendly countries and ways to strengthen it in line with the vision of the leadership of both nations.

They also discussed the pivotal role of international cooperation and joint efforts in strengthening community security and combating crime.

An MoU was signed by the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of North Macedonia for cooperation in security, counterterrorism, and combating cross-border crimes, aiming to bolster the distinguished relations between the two countries and achieve shared goals in enhancing security.

Additionally, an MoU was signed by the two countries regarding the recognition and exchange of driving licences issued by the UAE and North Macedonia.

This agreement facilitates the exchange of licences without the need for theoretical or practical tests, thereby easing mobility for licence holders during their stay or visits.

The meeting and the signing ceremony were attended by Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Major General Sheikh Mohammed bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Director of the Special Tasks Sector at Abu Dhabi Police, and several officers from the Ministry of Interior.

Also present were Abdulkadar Memedi, Ambassador of North Macedonia to the UAE; Risto Stavrevsky, State Adviser and Chief of Staff to the Minister of Interior; Vladimir Velkovsky, State Adviser in the Minister’s Office; Gorancho Savovsky, State Adviser in the Minister’s Office; and several officials.
