His Highness Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, visited the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, where he reviewed its projects and initiatives.

During his visit, Sheikh Saif met with members of the UAE Children’s Parliament and the COP28 Children’s Committee, an Emirati youth initiative focused on raising awareness about climate issues.

His Highness Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed also attended part of a children’s conference held in preparation for the Sixth Forum of the Global Network of Religions for Children (GNRC) in Abu Dhabi. This international event aims to engage religious leaders and communities in addressing urgent global challenges facing children.

Accompanied by Reem bint Abdullah Al Falasi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Sheikh Saif toured the council building. He was briefed on its achievements under the guidance of the UAE’s wise leadership and the patronage of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Mother of the Nation, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union (GWU), President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF).

Sheikh Saif participated in discussions at the preparatory children’s conference, which serves as a platform for young voices worldwide to share their views, aspirations, and solutions on key issues. He listened to children from various countries share personal experiences and proposals for the GNRC fostering cross-cultural dialogue on children’s rights and protection.

During his interaction with the UAE Children’s Parliament, His Highness praised their pioneering efforts to empower youth, foster awareness of critical national issues, and uphold children’s rights to express their views on matters affecting them.

The Minister also commended the COP28 Children’s Committee for their active participation in workshops and lectures during the previous Conference of the Parties in Dubai, highlighting their role in addressing climate change and empowering future generations to contribute meaningfully to global sustainability.

The visit concluded with a commemorative photo featuring His Highness alongside the children, officials, and participants in the international forum, underscoring the UAE’s commitment to empowering its youth and addressing global challenges collaboratively.
