The Supreme Committee of the Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Agricultural Excellence Award (SMAEA) announced today that the registration period for the main categories of the third edition of the award has been extended until 30th November 2024, to accommodate the continuous demand for participation from farmers and livestock breeders in the country.

The committee called on farmers, livestock breeders and commercial farms across the UAE to take advantage of this new opportunity and complete their applications before the new period ends on 30th November by visiting the official websiteor calling 80076232 to learn about the details of the main categories, evaluation criteria and prizes for each of them.

The third edition of the award is held under the theme 'Innovative Farmers & Breeders with a Sustainable Vision” and includes 4 main categories, 13 sub-categories and 89 accompanying competitions with a total cash prize pool of more than AED 10 million.

Mubarak Ali Al Mansouri, member of the SMAEA Supreme Committee, that the extension of the registration period for the main categories of the award comes in light of the remarkable demand from various eligible categories in the agricultural sector, both plant and animal, in the UAE.

He stated that this step aims to attract distinguished participants to elevate competition, support our goals of advancing the agricultural sector and local production, and foster an innovative environment. This will contribute to the National Food Security Strategy 2051 and sustainable agricultural development plans in Abu Dhabi.

In addition to the main award categories, the Prize is participating in a special pavilion at the Sheikh Zayed Festival in Al Wathba, during which five festivals, 87 accompanying competitions and seven livestock auctions are organised.

Applications for the accompanying competitions will continue to be accepted throughout the Sheikh Zayed Festival.
