TRENDS Research & Advisory concluded its participation in the latest edition of the Riyadh International Book Fair 2024, organised by the Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission at King Saud University in Riyadh, which ended on October 5. 

This marks TRENDS' fourth consecutive participation in the fair, where it had an exceptional pavilion featuring hundreds of titles from its valuable publications and knowledge series, covering various economic, technological, social, and political fields. This enriched the experience of the fair's visitors with a unique intellectual and cultural offering.

The TRENDS pavilion received a large influx of visitors, including diplomatic delegations, officials, academics, researchers, thinkers, and intellectuals, who expressed their admiration for the high-quality publications and series showcased at the pavilion. They noted that TRENDS' books and research papers are based on accurate information and rigorous research standards, making them essential for those seeking scientific analyses of contemporary regional and international issues.

King Fahd National Library

The TRENDS team participating in the Riyadh International Book Fair explored the rich resources of the King Fahd National Library, which houses rare books, historical manuscripts, scientific references, and thousands of cultural and knowledge titles. The team also discussed future collaboration opportunities with the library’s officials, aimed at supporting science and knowledge, and gifted the library hundreds of TRENDS’ latest publications.

Supporting Intellectual Dialogue

Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research & Advisory, emphasised that TRENDS' fourth participation in the Riyadh International Book Fair aimed to support intellectual, cultural, and knowledge dialogue at both regional and international levels. 

He added that the TRENDS seeks, through its participation in cultural events, to strengthen bridges of communication and interaction between think tanks, intellectual and cultural institutions, and global publishing houses. Additionally, it aims to promote a culture of dialogue among academics, researchers, and intellectuals through events that support the exchange of perspectives and ideas.

Dr. Al-Ali further mentioned that TRENDS' global strategy focuses on enriching the cultural landscape with high-quality publications through regular participation in major book fairs. This participation also enhances TREND's presence and outreach in the global scientific and intellectual arena, noting that the Riyadh International Book Fair has become an exceptional destination for knowledge lovers worldwide, adding special significance to this participation.

Cultural Openness

Rawda Al-Marzouqi, Director of the Distribution and Exhibitions Department at TRENDS, stated that TRENDS' participation in the Riyadh International Book Fair for the fourth consecutive year aimed at opening to various cultural institutions, regional and international publishing houses, and global think tanks. It also strengthened avenues of cooperation and partnership with these institutions in areas that serve scientific research, contribute to the dissemination of culture and knowledge, and raise societal awareness.

Al-Marzouqi explained that this participation reflected TRENDS' belief in the importance of such cultural events in bringing people closer, especially as the Riyadh International Book Fair has become a landmark in the publishing and knowledge industry. She noted that the TRENDS team visited various pavilions at the book fair to introduce TRENDS' vision, mission, and research programs, as well as its diverse advisory and training services.
